Three men rushed to hospital after rammy on Buchanan Street in Glasgow

Three people were rushed to hospital following an early morning disturbance in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to Buchanan Street around 12.15am on Saturday to deal with a fight between four men.

Officers taped off the area outside the HSCB bank and Zara as a police cordon remained in place until 8.30am this morning.

One man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and currently remains in hospital receiving treatment.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

Two other men were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. They were later released and arrested.

A fourth man was arrested at the scene.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are urging any witnesses to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers in Glasgow were called to an altercation between four men which happened on Buchanan Street at around 12.15am on Saturday, 10 July, 2021.

“One man was arrested at the scene. Two men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment before being released and arrested.

"The forth man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he remains receiving treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0086 of 10 July."
