Three men in 'serious condition' after triple stabbing in Wolverhampton

Police have launched an investigation after three men were stabbed in a house in Wolverhampton.

A member of the public flagged down officers on Goldthorn Hill, Goldthorn Park in the early hours of 6 August.

Officers found two men in the street with stab wounds and another in the back garden of a house, West Midlands Police said.

The men, aged 27, 31, and 36 were treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital.

An investigation was opened and an area of Goldthorn Hill cordoned off while forensic experts examined the scene.

Sergeant Carl Russell, from Wolverhampton’s Violent Crime Team, said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and continue to make enquiries to establish the motive behind the attack.

"We have spoken to several people who have told us that a car was seen to speed away from the scene shortly after the attack and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen this car to come forward with information.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who saw anything in the street at the time to come forward.

"Incidents of this nature are unusual in the area and we would reassure local residents that we are doing everything we can to locate those responsible.

“Officers will be in the area conducting house to house enquires and detectives continue to trawl CCTV for any clues.

“The injured men are in a serious condition and continue to be treated in hospital."

Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
