Three men hospitalised after savage attack by man with knife and a dog in Tramore, Co Waterford

Three men were hospitalised after a savage attack involving a man with a knife and a dog in Co Waterford.

The three victims, aged in their 20s, 30s, and 60s, were treated at University Hospital Waterford for non-life threatening injuries after the incident on Thursday, April 16.

Gardai arrested a suspect, in his 30s, in relation to the assault which happened in the Bayview area of Tramore.

The man has since been charged and will appear before Waterford District Court at 10.30am on Thursday.

A garda spokesman: "Gardaí investigating an assault incident that occurred in the Bayview area of Tramore, Co Waterford, on 16/04/2020 have charged a man aged in his 30s.

"Three males aged in their 60s, 30s and 20s received non life threatening injuries following an assault by a man which involved a knife and a dog.

"All males were taken to University Hospital Waterford at the time.

"A man in his 30s has now been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear before Waterford District Court today 23/04/2020 at approximately 10:30am."
