Three men have been missing for almost a day after failing to return from a yabby fishing trip in far north Queensland.
The men - aged 18, 27 and 37 - set out in a boat for Green Island on Tuesday and had been due back in Yarrabah, near Cairns, that afternoon.
They were last seen appearing to be having engine trouble near the island about 8.30am and haven't been seen or heard from since.
Fixed wing aircraft, three helicopters and boats have been used to search for the men in an area, Little Fitzroy Island and Cape Tribulation, and spanning 1700 square nautical miles since Wednesday morning.
