Three men busted in £500,000 cocaine sting are jailed for just over 13 years

Investigators keeping watch on a Kingswood address busted three men with cocaine worth £500,000.

Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) were observing an address in Britton Gardens, Bristol Crown Court heard today (February 7).

Three Albanian men who left the scene were found to have either packages of cocaine or false identity documents.

Denis Markeci, 29, Endri Cena, 26, both of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply on December 6 last year.

The men, as well as Dorian Zili, 25, NFA, also pleaded guilty to having fake identity documents.

"These are serious offences"

The recorder Mr Kevin De Hann QC jailed Cena for seven years, Markeci for five years and eight months and Zili for six months.

He told the men: "These are serious offences."

Drugs and false documents were ordered destroyed and there will be a hearing later to claw back criminal proceeds.

Cena and Markeci are likely to be deported after serving their time.

James Hakell, prosecuting, said Markeci was stopped in a Golf car and found to have a kilo of 54 per cent pure cocaine.

The NCA also found £300 cash in the boot of his car.

The court heard Cena tried to flee the house but was arrested and found with four kilos of 63 per cent pure cocaine.

In the property itself, officers found a further kilo of 74-77 per cent pure cocaine as well as digital scales, "dealer's lists" and £6,000 in cash.

Zili, who had left the house in a Mercedes car, was arrested later and found to have a fake Romanian ID card and driving licence.

The other two men were found to have fake Italian documents.
