Three men have been arrested after a woman was allegedly found with slash wounds on a Scots street.
Emergency services raced to the report of a disturbance on Glengowan Road in Caldercruix, Airdrie, at around 10.20pm on Saturday, June 26.
Ambulance crews attended and a 26-year-old woman was taken to to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment to her horror wounds.
A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged serious assault and was due to appear before Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 29.
A 39-year-old man and 25-year-old man were also arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident and appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, June 28.
The woman has since been released from hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20pm on Saturday, 26 June, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Glengowan Road, Caldercruix, Airdrie.
"Emergency services attended and found a 26-year-old woman with slash wounds. She was taken to Wishaw General Hospital and released after treatment.
"A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault and was due to appear before Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 29th June.
"A 39 year- old man and 25 year-old man were also arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, 28th June."
