Three men arrested after police swoop on disturbance in Glasgow city centre street

A number of people have been arrested after cops swarmed on a Glasgow city centre street late last night.

Four police vehicles raced to Union Street at around 10.15pm on Monday night after reports of a disturbance in the area.

Officers blocked the city centre road for some time as they dealt with the incident.

The nature of the disturbance remains unclear.

Police arrested three men in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called to the report of a disturbance in Union Street in Glasgow at around 10.13pm on Monday, May 4, 2020.

"As a result three men were arrested. Union Street was closed for a short time while the matter was dealt with."
