Three men have been arrested after a 44-year-old man died in a house fire in Sheffield in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on the ground floor of a semi-detached home in Bluebell Close at around 12.25 am.
South Yorkshire police said the man was pulled out of the property but “was later pronounced deceased”. The fire was put out and the premises made safe.
A joint investigation is under way between police and fire services to establish the cause of the fire.
Police said three men had been arrested in connected with the incident and were assisting officers with their inquiries.
