Three men arrested after gardai seize more than €188,000 during separate Dublin raids

Three men have been arrested after gardai seized more than €188,000 in raids of four locations in the city centre this morning.

The cash was discovered by officers attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) at four locations in Dublin 1.

A total of €188,295 was seized in the operation that was targeting people suspected of being involved in organised crime.

The GNDOCB were supported by the Special Crime Task Force and the Garda Dog Unit.

The three men, who are aged 36, 38 and 40, were arrested for offences contrary to Sections 71A and 72 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2006.

All three are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 in Irishtown and Store Street Garda stations.

A garda spokesman said investigations into the find are ongoing.
