Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given a triple injury boost ahead of the clash against Sheffield United on Sunday with a number of injured players returning to training.
Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic all took part in the training session on Wednesday morning as Solskjaer prepares his side for their Premier League game at Bramall Lane at the weekend.
Shaw has spent the majority of the season sidelined with a hamstring injury which forced him off in the 34th minute of United's defeat to Crystal Palace back in August.
He and Matic, who has also returned to training, recently went to Dubai in an attempt to step up their recovery ahead of the busy Christmas schedule which is just around the corner.
Another boost was the return of Tuanzebe who has missed the last seven games in all competitions with a hip injury. The centre back, who has impressed when called upon this season by Solskjaer, was one of a number of players who arranged their own warm weather training camp in Dubai this international break.
Victor Lindelof and David de Gea were both back at Carrington after being on international duty over the past 10 days but Solskjaer was still without a number of his internationals who will be expected back at the training ground over the coming days.
One player who appears to be a doubt for the weekend is Scott McTominay. The midfielder had to be taken from the side of the pitch on a stretcher after the win against Brighton last time out and was forced to withdraw from Scotland duty through injury.
The midfielder was seen being driven into training on Wednesday morning, instead of driving himself like he usually does, and was not pictured among the group as they trained ahead of the clash on Sunday afternoon.
Paul Pogba has spent the international break in Miami stepping up his recovery from his foot injury.
Solskjaer should be able to give an official update on the injured players in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning.
