Three Man Utd players who could have played their last game for club in Wolves fixture

Manchester United have enjoyed an encouraging season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, emerging as Manchester City’s closest challengers for the Premier League title.

The Red Devils confirmed their second-place finish in the top-flight and can win the Europa League on Wednesday.

In order to push City closer for the league next term they will need to reinforce their squad in the upcoming transfer window.

That will also mean there will be departures from the club, with several members of Solskjaer’s senior squad edging towards departures.

Here, Mirror Football looks at three men who could have played their last games for the club against Wolves...

With Solskjaer set to upgrade his defensive options this summer, Tuanzebe appears to be at serious threat of a departure.

He is entering the final year of his contract, with United needing to sell him this summer if they are to bring in any fee for the 23-year-old.

Eric Bailly has already signed a new deal, with Tuanzebe falling further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

While he started both of United's final two Premier League games, Tuanzebe has mainly been left on the bench this term.

Juan Mata

One of the few players in Solskjaer’s squad to be out of contract this year, Juan Mata looks certain to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

The midfielder has had a successful seven-year stay in Manchester, scoring 50 goals and providing 47 assists in 271 games for the Red Devils.

But he has become a bit-part player in recent seasons and it is highly unlikely that he will extend his stay into an eighth year.

Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic's £40million move to the Red Devils has not worked out as the Serbian would have hoped, finding himself low in Solskjaer's pecking order.

He has mainly been restricted to appearing as a subsitute this season, when Solskjaer is looking to shut down games but is not considered a long-term option.

Though he still has two years left on his contract, Matic is expected to depart in the summer, with United keen to upgrade their defensive midfield options.
