Three-man attack outside Madame Koo left victim with fractured skull and brain bleed

A brutal assault by three men left a 20-year-old with a fractured skull and brain bleed after a night out in Newcastle City Centre.

Police investigating the attack say that around 1.30am on September 30 they receive reports of a man being punched in the face and knocked unconscious outside Madame Koo on Collingwood Street, Newcastle.

Officers say the victim, 20, was approached by three men who assaulted him before fleeing the scene.

Paramedics took the man to hospital, where doctors discovered he had a fractured skull and had suffered a bleed on the brain.

He has since left hospital and is said to be "recovering well".

Now, officers investigating the attack have released an image of four men they would like to trace.

They say the men were in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that could help in the probe.

The men, or anyone who recognises them, have been asked to contact police via the ‘Tell us something’ page of the Northumbria Police website quoting crime reference number 107400N/21.
