Three Lanarkshire roads set for closure, with two shutting for five days

Fife Avenue in Airdrie is closing for five days next week for carriageway resurfacing.

This will apply from Ayr Drive to its termination point on December 6-10 and drivers are warned there will be no alternative routes available.

The A89 Bank Street in Coatbridge will be shut overnight on Monday, December 13, between Blairhill Street and Ross Street.

The closure will run from 10pm until 6am on Tuesday and is for a railway bridge inspection.

Drivers can use Blair Road, Gartsherrie Road and the B803 Sunnyside Road as diversions.

Meanwhile, Chapelhall’s Kennelburn Road, from Hill Street to Woodhall Street, is shutting for five days from December 13.

This is to allow for the completion of carriageway resurfacing and alternative routes will include Gibb Street, Loch Road and Sherdale Avenue.
