Three people, including a young child, have died in a single-vehicle crash on the South Coast near Ulladulla this morning, while a person was airlifted to hospital.

About 4.30am on Saturday morning, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway at Lake Tabourie, about 13km south of Ulladulla, following reports a Honda Accord travelling north left the road and hit a tree.

The female driver, and two passengers - a man and a young child - died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified.

A fourth occupant, a male passenger, was airlifted to hospital. His condition is not yet known.

South Coast police are at the scene with an investigation under way.

Road closures are in place. More traffic information is available online.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
