Three is down: Network crashes leaving Brits unable to make phone calls

UPDATE: Three has confirmed that its services have now been restored for customers

It's one of the most popular mobile networks in the UK, but it appears that Three experienced issues this morning.

According to DownDetector, the problems started at around 09:12 BST today, and affected customers across the UK.

While the reason for the outage remains unclear, of those who reported issues, 46% said they were having problems with their mobile phone, 32% with mobile internet, and 20% had no signal.

A Three UK spokesperson said: "Three’s services have now been restored for affected customers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the issue.”

Unsurprisingly, Three's support team was inundated with complaints on Twitter.

One user said: "Another day with no WiFi! How do I explain to my company I’m unable to work from home it’s not acceptable anymore."

Another added: "What’s the problem this time?! No signal, no data."

And one wrote: "ThreeUK has to be the worst network for coverage. 3 days in a row I’m not getting any 4g. Pathetic."
