Three in hospital after serious crash in Gilfach Goch closes road for ten hours

Three people are in hospital after a crash that closed a road for nearly 10 hours. Police were called to the crash on the A4093 between Gilfach Goch and Glynogwr on Thursday (October 6).

South Wales Police said they were called at 2.15pm to a two-vehicle accident on the road between Black Mill and Gilfach Goch.

A spokesman said that three people, all from the Tonypandy area, were taken to the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff.

He added: "Two men, aged 18 and 32, suffered serious injuries and a 17 year-old boy suffered minor injuries."

The road was closed for around 10 hours hours while investigations into the collision were carries out.

South Wales Police said: "The public is thanked for its understanding and patience while this happened."
