
Lake Macquarie, Muswellbrook and the Upper Hunter are among 16 council areas newly included as eligible for federal-state bushfire recovery funding.
The pool of $100 million allows for grants of up to $75,000 for primary producers and $50,000 for small businesses to help with repairs and stock replacement.
"Getting back to business is one of the best ways to recover," natural disaster and emergency management minister David Littleproud said.
"This will make sure businesses can open and people are back to work sooner.
"When money flows around a community it can help to speed up the whole recovery."
As part of the program, $4.05 million has been set aside for delivering mental health services for communities, volunteers and emergency services staff.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro said every fire-affected primary producer and small business in NSW would received the support they needed, saying it was "critical for our communities" that they be able to get back to business as soon as possible.
