The containers bring goods ‘Made in China’ to the UK - and could be carrying household items, clothes, heavy machinery and more.

Experts say it is probably Christmas stock from China for shops all over the UK.

It is almost certain that millions of pounds worth of presents and decorations for UK are inside.

The HMM's Oslo and Le Havre have come from China, while the St Petersburg’s sailed from Singapore.

They can carry around 20,000 20-foot containers packed with goods and are heading for Rotterdam where many of its contents will be delivered back to the UK.

They are unable to dock in Rotterdam and are waiting off South Devon.
