Three huge Boa Constrictors found dead at Scottish loch amongst rubbish bags

Three huge exotic snakes have been found dead in amongst rubbish at loch in central Scotland.

A member of public came across the shocking discovery near Carbeth Loch in Blanefield, Stirlingshire, on January 8. The Boa Constrictors - normally frequented in tropical South America - were found next to a fly-tipping spot among the trash.

The Scottish SPCA has launched an investigation into the discovery, which charity officers described as 'very concerning'. The snakes' cause of death currently remains unknown, the Daily Record reports

Scottish SPCA inspector Mairi Wright said: “The snakes were found at one of the entrances to Carbeth Huts next to Carbeth Loch. They were lying close together, next to bags of rubbish at a fly-tipping spot.

“We are unsure of the cause of death for these reptiles, but the circumstances they were found in are very concerning. We are keen to ascertain what happened to these snakes and how they came to be there.
