'Three holding midfielders' Sunderland fans react to team news against Hull

Sunderland fans have called for 'big performances' from their midfield trio as they welcome Hull City to the Stadium of Light.

Black Cats head coach Lee Johnson made one change to the starting line-up that took the field at the Sixfields Stadium - Callum McFadean returning in place of Tom Flanagan who dropped out of the squad.

Dion Sanderson is expected to start in his more natural position at centre half alongside Bailey Wright.

Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to give then views on the team.

Alex Mills said: "Three holding midfielders."

Paul Basnett said: "Scowen & Power together don’t work. I saw that straight away - surely Lee Johnson can see it."

David Robinson said: "It seems a similar approach to me as we had under Phil Parkinson.

" This is a big game for the new management, we’ve had anything but a honeymoon bounce so far.

"Just look at Tisdale at Bristol Rovers if you want to see what a new manager bounce could have been."

Caine Thompson said: "Must win game. No excuses. If we draw or lose this. Our season is over. Another season in League 1. Please win."
