Three hidden gems West Ham fans should keep an eye on at Euro 2020 ahead of potential transfers

After securing a Europa League place next season, West Ham United fans will be excited for this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament.

With plenty of the club’s stars involved at the tournament including the likes of Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Vladimir Coufal, there will also be plenty of eyes on potential transfer targets too.

The European Championships will offer the chance for up-and-coming players to catch the eye and make a name for themselves – and even get their names in the West Ham scouts’ handbooks.

Here are three hidden gems Hammers fans should watch at this summer’s Euro 2020.

Adam Hlozek

The 18-year-old ended the season at Sparta Prague scoring 10 goals in his last 6 games including 4 in his final match of the season.

A mobile, physically strong and pacey striker, Hlozek is regarded as one of the best talents his nation has produced in recent memory.

As a fellow Czech it will be interesting to see his link-up with Soucek and Coufal – especially if Hlozek does end up at the Hammers.

With West Ham interested in the striker, a move is definitely on the cards and Euro 2020 will offer the chance for supporters to get to know the teenage sensation better.

Anatoliy Trubin

The 19-year-old goalkeeper has been one of Shakhtar Donetsk’s biggest revelations this season. He kept a clean-sheet in half of his games with 15 in 30.

And has proved himself both in the Champions League and the Europa League.

A tall and commanding shot-stopper, Trubin is good in the air and he is showing maturity well beyond his years.

He could well be Ukraine’s first choice at this summer’s competition having already made his debut for his international team.

With Lukasz Fabianski not getting any younger, West Ham should definitely be in the market for a young goalkeeper this summer, and Trubin could be an excellent target.

Roland Sallai

Hungary may have been dealt a shorthand having been drawn in a group with France, Germany and Portugal at Euro 2020 and losing their star player, Dominik Szoboszlai to injury, but they still have Roland Sallai.

Eight goals and six assists from the midfielder for Freiburg is an impressive statistic and only one fewer than the likes of Dani Olmo, Serge Gnabry and other high-profile Bundesliga stars.

A pacey, and versatile player, Sallai could be deployed in various positions across the pitch and it is well worth keeping an eye on him at this summer’s tournament.
