The Pallickal police on Saturday arrested three persons for on charge of attempting to murder a person a day ago.
The police identified the accused as Abhijith, 24, Devajith, 22, and Ratheesh, 37, of Madavoor. They have been accused of attacking Rahul of Madavoor at Thumpodu junction around 12.45 p.m. on Friday.
Abhijith, an autorickshaw driver, had quarrelled with Rahul over transporting his pet dog to a veterinary hospital. The police said the trio assaulted Rahul while he was waiting for an autorickshaw. Abhijith’s brother Devajith attacked Rahul with an iron rod. Rahul, who sustained grievous head injuries, is undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital, Parippally, the police said.
