Three Georgia Bulldogs make PFF’s SEC Team of the Week

Three Georgia Bulldogs landed on PFF’s SEC Team of the Week for the opening weekend of college football. All three play on the offensive side of the ball. Here’s a look at the offensive team:

 

Jake Fromm, Trey Hill, and Andrew Thomas all played excellent in the season opener at Vanderbilt. Georgia tied for the most players on the offensive side of the ball with Mississippi State. Week One was a down week for much of the SEC. The SEC East had a particularly rough weekend with Tennessee falling to Georgia State and Wyoming upsetting Missouri. Georgia looks to be in the driver’s seat for the SEC East once again, especially considering Florida’s sloppy performance to kickoff the season against Miami.

Georgia will look to gain experience before their big match-up versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Week Four. Notre Dame won a fumble-fest versus the Louisville Cardinals. The Irish struggled to stop the run and took longer than expected to put away the Cardinals, who went 2-10 in 2018. Below is the defensive side of the ball, where no Dawgs made the SEC Team of the Week:
