Three gardai were assaulted while responding to a public order incident in Co Meath on Tuesday.
Members of the force were on patrol in Navan when they responded to the incident on Market Square on Tuesday evening.
Several people "became aggressive" towards the officers and over the course of the evening and three gardai were assaulted.
Three teenage boys and one woman in her late teens were arrested.
They were taken to Trim and Ashbourne Garda Stations and were subsequently released pending further investigations.
A garda spokesperson said: "While conducting patrols in Navan, Co. Meath yesterday evening, Tuesday 22nd February 2022, Gardaí responded to a public order incident in the Market Square.

"A number of persons became aggressive towards Gardaí. During the course of the evening, three Gardaí were assaulted during the course of their duties.
"Three teenage youths and a female adult (aged in her late teens) were arrested and taken to Trim and Ashbourne Garda Stations.
"All four persons have since been released pending further investigations."
