Three former Notts County players released from National League rivals

Three former Notts County players have been released by Yeovil in the wake of their relegation to the National League.

Francois Zoko, Alefe Santos and Yoann Arquin have all been told they can leave the club who have released nine of last season’s squad.

The Glovers have also released Bevis Mugabi, Alex Fisher, Jake Gray, Rhys Browne and Adel Gafaiti.

But a contract has been offered to Craig Alcock to stay at Huish Park.

Like Notts, the Glovers are hoping to launch a promotion push next season but they are currently without a manager after opting against appointing caretaker Neale Marmon.

Way was sacked on March 24, but he left the club at the end of the season despite having previously been lined up to become sporting director.

Rob Couhig’s proposed takeover has also collapsed, but the club say “discussions are continuing with a small number of serious parties”.

Coaches Paul Terry, Steve Phillips and Yiannis Iosif will also be leaving this summer.
