Three firms vying for services prize at the North East Business Awards

Great companies in the services sector will be competing to take home a prize from this week’s North East Business Awards .

Newcastle’s Coleman James, Sunderland-based Nice Network and UK Pods, of Middlesbrough, are the finalists in the services category, having won heats held earlier in the year in Tyneside and Northumberland; Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside; and Teesside.

The finals take place on Thursday at Hardwick Hall Hotel at Sedgefield.

Recruitment firm Coleman James focuses on the construction and built environment industries. Its clients have very specific recruitment requirements, and the firm’s experience and knowledge of its sector enables it to leverage its network to achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders.

The young company has grown organically over the past two-and-a-half years, and seeks to offer the best service possible to its customers.

Nice Network manages the total business communications for global brands headquartered across the UK such as Nike UK, Draeger, Converse and many others, all from its Sunderland headquarters.

The firm is committed to being an industry pioneer, having played a key role in the publishing of the first ever whitepaper for the IT and telecommunications industry on ethical selling.

UK Pods is an associative company that manufactures and supplies a range of specialist safety equipment and services predominantly aimed at health care services globally.

Three North East companies in the running for Apprenticeship award  

The business provides a complete overarching service to ensure their clients are supported throughout the implementation of their safety equipment. This includes a free comprehensive consultation to identify a clear need for their services which range from providing bespoke safety equipment, training and aftercare.

UK Pods also provides emergency support for services that are in need of their specialist equipment, and in recent cases the team have responded within 24-hours providing service improvement and safety enhancement for both working professionals and the people they care for.
