RALEIGH, N.C. _ Three female students were sexually assaulted by male students at a party at N.C. State University on Friday, according to reports received by campus police.
Campus police are investigating three reports of sexual assault on Friday at Wolf Village. All three incidents were allegedly committed by male students known to the female students attacked at a party.
Wolf Village is an apartment-style residence community on N.C. State's campus off Western Boulevard and Gorman Street open during school breaks with resident advisers onsite. The university's housing website describes Wolf Village as such:
"At Wolf Village, our upper-class residents experience all the advantages of apartment living. Wolf Village is a convenient transitional community, where residents enjoy access to campus resources, study lounges and resident advisers as well as the benefits of added privacy and apartment style living. Wolf Village has a communal atmosphere and is only a short walk to campus, Hillsborough Street or Western Boulevard."
Alcohol is allowed for students of legal drinking age in their residence hall room (if the residence hall is not alcohol free) and in apartment communities including Wolf Village, according to the university's community standards. Police did not say if alcohol was a factor in the assaults.
