Three Edinburgh teenagers charged over alleged Leith Links assault

Three more teenagers have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault of a girl and a woman in a popular Edinburgh park.

Police confirmed they had arrested a 15-year-old girl following the violent incident in Leith Links on Sunday, June 27, after a number of calls from passers-by regarding a disturbance.

A 13-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman were hurt in the incident, with at least one person requiring hospital treatment afterwards.

The park was busy at the time of the commotion, with several eyewitnesses reportedly observing the scene before contacting emergency services.

Officers have now said three others have been charged in relation to the disturbance.

A second 15-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 13-year-old have all been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police confirmed inquiries were ongoing, while reports had been passed to the children's reporter.
