Three Dublin councils have voted to keep local property tax rates at the same level for the next year.
A 15% discount has been applied in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and South Dublin County Councils.
Both councils voted last night to apply the maximum amount can be authorised by local authorities.
Fingal County Council also voted last night on the local property tax, but applied a 10% discount for property owners throughout the county.
Dublin City Council will vote on the local rate on September 23 during a specially organised meeting.
A proposal was put forward at the meeting of South Dublin County Council last night that proposed a 10% discount which would have been a 5% increase for the county compared to the year before.
But after the amendment from the Green Party was defeated, the 15% discount was passed with a majority, with the Green Party abstaining and Social Democrats voting against it.
In a statement issued yesterday evening following its vote, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council said: "Notice is hereby given that at the meeting of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council held on 9th of September 2019 a formal resolution was passed to the effect that the basic rate of local property tax should stand varied downwards by 15% for the year 2020 as regards relevant residential properties situated in the administrative area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
"The variation in the Local Property Tax rate applies for a period of one year from the next local property tax liability date."
