3 die, 460 test positive for Covid in Bihar

PATNA: The state on Friday registered 460 new Covid-19 cases, including 202 in Patna alone. The virus claimed lives of three more people in the last 24 hours and the victims included a three-month-old toddler from Muzaffarpur. The number of active Covid cases in the state stood at 2,640 on Friday.

Dr Sanjeev Kumar, nodal incharge for Covid-19 at AIIMS-Patna, said three more deaths were reported at the hospital. Eleven Covid patients were undergoing treatment at the hospital on Friday.

As per the health department, 460 new Covid cases were against 1,06,607 samples tested. In Patna, the positivity rate was 3.58%. Among other districts, Supaul and Araria recorded 22 fresh cases each, Bhagalpur (20), Muzaffarpur (20) and Gaya (19).
