Three dead in early hours BMW crash in Liverpool

Police have confirmed that three people have died in a crash involving a BMW in Liverpool in the early hours of Monday.

Police say around 12.15am, emergency services were called to East Prescot Road, Knotty Ash, close to the Greyhound Pub, to reports of a collision involving a BMW colliding with the roundabout, the Echo reports.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "Three people, a man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s, and a man in his 30s, were all taken to hospital by ambulance and all have sadly passed away."

The victims have not yet been identified.

The A57 East Prescot Road remains closed on all approaches to the roundabout including Blackmoor Drive, Pilch Lane and Brookside Avenue.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact (0151) 7775747, or via @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, with reference 21000264565.

The crash comes around 48 hours after the road was closed due to a separate accident on Saturday which left an e-scooter rider fighting for his life after a crash involving a black Hackney cab near the junction with Blackmoor Drive.
