Three dead as NSW adds more than 300 fresh COVID cases

NSW Health's Dr Jeremy McAnulty.

THREE people have died with COVID-19 in the most recent reporting period, NSW Health has confirmed.

NSW recorded 304 locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm on Tuesday, with a single case in an international traveller.

The 305 cases mean there are now 418 people in hospital statewide, with 97 requiring intensive care.

On the vaccination front 93.2 per cent of people aged 16 or older have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in NSW.

For double doses the figure is 85.5 per cent.

There were 89,875 tests conducted in the 24 hours.

Full details including the locations of the deaths and the spread of cases are expected to be released about 11am.
