Three cops rushed to hospital after police car and motor collide near Glasgow High Court

Three cops were hospitalised after a police car collided with another vehicle outside Glasgow's High Court yesterday.

The officers, a 30-year-old woman and two men aged 31 and 34, were rushed to the nearby Glasgow Royal Infirmary after the crash on the city's Saltmarket around 4.05pm.

A marked cop car and an Alfa Romeo were involved in the collision.

While three officers in the police vehicle needed medical attention, nobody was hurt in the Alfa Romeo.

The police officers were all released from hospital after treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 4.05pm on Friday, 2 April, 2021, a marked police car and an Alfa Romeo car were involved in a collision in the Saltmarket, Glasgow.

"The three officers from the police car, a woman aged 30 and two men, aged 31 and 34 years, were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were released after treatment.

"The occupants of the Alfa Romeo were not injured. Enquiries into the crash are ongoing."
