Three clubs who could sign Man City player Yangel Herrera amid transfer interest

Manchester City are looking to pocket £20m from the sale of Yangel Herrera this summer, with reports claiming three Premier League clubs are among those interested.

The midfielder, who signed for City in 2017, is yet to make an appearance for the Premier League champions. But he is a target for several English top-flight sides including Southampton, West Ham and Leeds United, according to The Sun.

MEN Sport reported back in April that City were monitoring interest in the 23-year-old throughout last season's loan spell at Granada where he's spent the last two campaigns, making a combined 82 appearances, scoring 10 goals and assisting his teammates on five occasions.

Herrera could be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium due to the lack of first-team football he would get in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

City are stacked with midfield options, especially after veteran Brazilian Fernandinho signed a new one-year contract extension this summer.

City have already sold several players during the transfer window with £50m raised so far. The Jack Harrison, Lukas Nmecha and Angelino sales, as well as the sell-on clause from Jadon Sancho’s move to rivals Manchester United can all be used towards transfer targets.

Guardiola is looking to add to his already strong team with the club linked to Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who is seen as the ideal replacement for the recently departed Sergio Aguero.

City are also keen on Aston Villa captain and Kane's England teammate Jack Grealish.
