Three children taken from house to hospital under police protection to 'ensure their safety'

Three children were taken from a home for their own safety by police and paramedics.

The move followed an incident in Blackley last night.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 10.30pm on Monday 17 August 2020, police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a 3-year-old child at a property on Bantry Drive, Blackley.

"Officers attended and three children were taken to hospital under police protection to ensure their safety whilst enquiries were carried out.

"A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace and has since been released with no further actions.

"The children remain in hospital for assessment."
