Three charged after investigation into alleged eBay-scam car robberies across Greater Manchester

Three people have been charged after a police investigation into a series of alleged eBay car buyers scam robberies.

Armed police made five arrests on Friday after 12 incidents in Greater Manchester. Now three suspects have been charged.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Three people charged in relation to series of armed robberies in Greater Manchester.

"Police have charged three people – two men and a woman – in connection with a series of armed robberies following false advertisements on the online auction website, Ebay.

"Debra Brooker , 41, of Block Lane, Mohammed Nazir , 23, of Manley Road and Adam Marco, 19, of Kent Street – all from the Oldham area – have been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

"They have all been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 February 2020.

"Officers investigating a series of armed robberies across Greater Manchester between Tuesday 19 November 2019 and Wednesday 22 January 2020 made five arrests on Friday 14 February 2020."   

Two men – aged 43 and 24 – have been released under investigation.
