Police are hunting for firebugs in the Duntocher area after they torched two cars while causing damage to a third.
Emergency services were called to Hillend Crescent in the early hours of the morning in response to what police have labelled a 'reckless and deliberate act'.
Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of the fire, which engulfed a grey VW Golf and a yellow Honda.
Police are now appealing for eyewitnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
A statement issued this morning advised: "Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire raising involving two cars in Duntocher.
"The incident happened around 2.50am on Monday, 12 April, when a grey VW Golf and a yellow Honda were set on fire in the Hillend Crescent area of the village. A third car parked nearby was also damaged."
Detective Constable Adam McCreery, of Clydebank CID, commented: “Fortunately no one was injured but this was a reckless and deliberate act and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.
“In particular we are keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV from the area or any dash-cam footage that may assist with our enquiries.
