Three cars crash on Scots road as one driver 'caught filming' smash on mobile phone

Three cars have been involved in a collision on a stretch of road in Fife - with one driver 'caught filming' the smash on a mobile phone.

Road Policing officers raced to the crashes on the A92 in Fife on Monday, December 6.

Cops shared a picture of the aftermath of the first crash, which left the motor's bonnet wrecked.

Officers also detailed two further drivers who 'weren't paying attention' as they crashed into slowing vehicles.

A driver was then seen allegedly filming the scene on her mobile phone as she drove past.

Three drivers were reported for careless driving after the incidents.

It's understood no one was seriously injured.

In a statement, officers from Fife police division said on social media: "The first (see image) was a single car RTC. Then two drivers who weren't paying attention crashed in to other slowing vehicles; luckily no serious injuries.

"Unbelievably one driver went past filming officers on her mobile phone. Fortunately she didn't cause the fourth RTC of the night but was stopped by us.

"Three reports for careless driving.

"Careless/Inconsiderate driving is one of the Fatal 5 offences. Road users who commit one of the Fatal 5 offences are far more likely to be involved in a fatal collision than those who do not."
