Three-car crash causes multiple injuries on A38 near Bristol Airport

Emergency services were called to the A38 last night after a three-car accident.

Ambulances and Avon Fire and Rescue trucks attended after a collision on the route towards Bristol Airport on Wednesday (June 26).

Bedminster fire station tweeted: "Both Bedminster trucks currently on the A38 toward Bristol Airport. Road Traffic incident involving 3 cars, multiple casualties but no one trapped."

The road is now clear according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.45pm to reports of a road traffic collision, reportedly involving three vehicles.

"We attended with three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles. Two patients were taken to hospital for further treatment."
