Three 'British' orphans found in ISIS camp under siege from Turkey in Syria

Three orphans thought to be from Britain have been found in an ISIS refugee camp under Turkish attack.

BBC reporters discovered the trio in a camp in north-east Syria, which is currently under Kurdish control.

The youngsters - Amira, 10, her sister Hiba, eight, and their brother, Hamza, whose age is unknown - are believed to have been taken to the Islamic State by their parents.

Their mum, dad and other siblings were killed in an air strike on the former ISIS stronghold of Baghuz.

It is thought the family moved from London to Syria five years ago.

The three orphans now live in the Ain Issa camp, which holds 13,000 people and reportedly narrowly avoided Turkish bombing strikes over the weekend.

Speaking to the BBC, Amira recalled going to her grandmother's house, parks, funfairs and restaurants in the UK.

Describing the bombardment of Baghuz, she said: "They were hitting so much.

"There was a little house and that big dusty mountain and behind it everybody was dead. In front of us was everyone who was not killed, the other people.

"We were going to pack our stuff and get out, the airplane came and bombed. So then my mum died, my littlest brother, my little brother and my sister.

"Then after that, all was getting on fire. We had to walk out."

Amira is desperate to return home and dreams of picking fruit from trees, The Guardian reports.

It is feared the children may be caught in the crossfire as advancing Turkish troops clash with the Kurdish soldiers controlling the camp.
