Three bold predictions for Dolphins Week 3 contest vs. Dallas

The odds are stacked against the Miami Dolphins once again this weekend. Get used to that, Dolphins fans. Miami will likely be double digit underdogs again next week at home against the Chargers. Expectations are about as low as possible, too. But what are some surprises that may lie in wait for the Dolphins in their Week 3 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys?

Here are three bold predictions for today’s game.

The Dolphins will score more than 14 points

Wow, we’re really setting the bar high here, huh? But with just 10 points to their credit through two games, no amount of progress should be shunned. And that includes Josh Rosen getting this offense into a little bit more productive state — both in moving the ball and scoring points.

After all, isn’t that how success is measured? In scoring points? Miami may get a cheap seven off of a short field or a big special teams play, but look for Miami’s offense to provide their best effort yet against the Cowboys.

DE Taco Charlton logs a sack in revenge game vs. Dallas

Charlton has four career sacks and was inactive for Dallas’ first two games of the season. Not great. But if there were ever a time that Charlton gets himself amped up, it would definitely be against the team who just cut him on Wednesday — right?

Charlton has served as a piñata for frustrated Dallas fans over the last two years, he’d most certainly relish in the opportunity to make a big play in his former home stadium.

If Charlton plays, he gets a sack.

Preston Williams and Josh Rosen link up for a long bomb

These two had one last week against the Patriots and then Williams forgot the most important part — catch the ball! Rosen showed great chemistry with Williams all preseason, getting to see these two linked up once again is an exciting sub-plot for Dolphins fans who are looking for a spark offensively.

Even if just for one connection, look for these two to catch lightning in a bottle.
