Three bedroom house with bargain £1 price tag sells at auction

A three bedroom semi-detached house in Huyton, which had a guide price of just £1, has gone under the hammer at auction.

Agents Bond Wolfe said that the house, at 10 Primrose Court , had a guide price of just £1 - although buyer would have to pay an administration fee of £1,074.

The family-sized home features a hall, reception room, dining room and WC on the ground floor, while on the first floor there are three bedrooms and one bathroom.

The property also featured double glazing, a driveway and garden.

Bonde Wolfe made it clear that the property needed refurbishment work, but highlighted that it could be a good investment opportunity for the right buyer.

And prior to the auction Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said that the house could 'be one the best bargains available across the UK in 2019.'

Following the auction yesterday - which took place at the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC -  Bond Wolfe confirmed that the house had sold - for 42,000 times its guide price.

Bonde Wolfe told the ECHO: "This property was sold at auction yesterday for £42,000."

Primrose Court, just off Hillside Avenue in Huyton, is a few minutes drive from the M57.

A nearby house was recently sold for £85,000.
