Three attackers enter house and stab man, 20

Three men entered a property and stabbed a 20-year-old in Bolton.

The incident happened on Walley Street in Astley Bridge just before 8.45am this morning (February 3).

Emergency services were called and found a 20-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be serious at this stage.

Enquiries revealed three men arrived at the property in a vehicle.

They entered the address and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

An investigation has since been launched, a spokesman for GMP confirmed.

Eyewitnesses described seeing a heavy emergency service response in the area this morning.

An air ambulance was also called to the scene.

A neighbour, who did not wish to give his name, told the Manchester Evening News he rushed to help the victim shortly after the incident.

He said the victim had been “shanked”.

“It happened inside the house. Someone asked me to go in and put pressure on the wounds and speak to paramedics until they arrived,” he said.

“There were around nine police cars, ambulances and the police helicopter.”

Another resident said he woke to find the street had turned into a crime scene.

He said: “I’m not shocked, we’ve been having a few problems lately. It’s not the first time.
