Three at the back, Doidge up top – this is the Hibs team fans want to see v Kilmarnock

Hibs fans have been choosing the team they'd go with in today's Scottish Premiership opener against Kilmarnock – and there are a few surprises in there.

Supporters reckon Jack Ross should go with three at the back – Paul Hanlon, Ryan Porteous and Paul McGinn – which is a bold opening day selection.

The opted for five across the midfield with new signing Alex Gogic in the holding role and Scott Allan and Joe Newell just ahead of him. Martin Boyle and Drey Wright are on the flanks.

And then up top fans want to see a strike partnership of Christian Doidge and Kevin Nisbet to kick off the campaign.

The results came from an article we ran on Edinburgh Live asking Hibees to pick their starting XI and formation for this afternoon's match.

You can find out what team Jack Ross chooses for real an hour before kick-off, so around 2pm.

We'll have all the latest build up, key events and reaction right here on Edinburgh Live throughout the day.
