Three Arsenal stars ranked among Europe's top 20 give Mikel Arteta crucial Premier League safety

Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe highlighted their importance to Mikel Arteta last week after they both put in excellent displays in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Chelsea, which was followed up by a 3-1 win against Manchester United. The victory helped the Gunners in their push for a Champions League place as they climbed two points above Spurs in fourth place.

After Saka's goal against Chelsea, it means that he and Smith Rowe have both scored 10 goals and more in the Premier League this season. This is just the third time that two players aged 21 or under have this for the same team in the campaign, with Ronaldo and Rooney following suit in the 2006/2007 season.

Martinelli has also been another youngster who has excelled for the Gunners this season, Bailey Keogh and Josh Williams discussed the importance of Arteta's youngsters on the Arsenal Way’s Analysing Arsenal show.

Josh compared Smith Rowe and Saka with other youngsters in Europe who are 21-years-old or younger. “On the list I created of the best youngsters of Europe in the top five leagues, three Arsenal players are there with one of those being Smith Rowe. The others are Saka and Martinelli," he said.

"In the top 20 of the list I had narrowed it down to, Arsenal have three forwards so it certainly bodes well for the future. And for a bit of context Erling Haaland is at the top of the list”

Josh continues on to stress the importance of Arsenal being secure for future seasons due to the success of the youngsters at the club.

“For Arsenal to have three forwards in the top 20 for this season, it just offers an insight into how safe they are when it comes to future seasons and development moving forward.”

Regardless of whether Arsenal sign a striker or not, they are well catered for the next few years when it comes to the forward department thanks to Smith Rowe, Martinelli and Saka.”
