Stephen Brecknock, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after being arrested in Meadow Lane.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, March 5 and was remanded in custody to appear at a trial at Nottingham Crown Court on April 2.

Sheldon Lay, 20, of Wilford Crescent, The Meadows, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon after officers seized a lock knife in the city centre.

He was bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on April 7.

Andrew Alsop, 28, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of Class B drugs, two offences of assaulting a police officer and criminal damage after he was stopped and arrested in Friar Lane.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, March 5, and was granted unconditional bail to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on June 5 for a trial.

A man was also reported for summons after being arrested on suspicion of breaching a section 35 notice by begging in the city centre.

Inspector Anwaar Ahmed said: "Impact Days create capacity for officers to be proactive to make a real difference in their communities.

"It was a really positive day and shows how effective these days can be. It is a credit to all of the officers involved on the day."
