Three arrests made after man hospitalised in Glasgow disturbance

A man has been hospitalised after police swooped on a disturbance in Glasgow which saw three men arrested.

Cops rushed to Govanhill Street around 3.50pm on Sunday, April 19 as eyewitnesses described seeing multiple emergency service vehicles.

A 39-year-old was taken to hospital, but his condition is unknown at this stage.

Pictures from the scene online show a large cordon around a black Audi being inspected by a number of officers, including a canine unit.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A report was received of a disturbance in the Govanhill Street area of Glasgow around 3.50pm on Sunday, 19 April.

"A 39-year-old was injured in the incident and has been taken to hospital.

"Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 2260 of 19 April, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
