THREE people have been arrested and a fourth hospitalised after an alleged “crossbow attack” in Edinburgh.
Police shut down Ardshiel Avenue in the west of the Scottish capital after reports of a “serious assault” on Thursday morning.
One local resident told The Daily Record that there had been “blood all over the street”.
Images showed an arrow and a crowbar on the street, alongside police tags.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8am on Thursday, 25 June, 2026, we were called to a report of a serious assault on Ardshiel Avenue in Edinburgh.
"Emergency services attended and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Three men, aged 32, 34 and 60, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
