Drugs and cash have been found buried in an Adelaide backyard with three people set to face court.

Detectives from Task Force Southern conducted an extensive search of a Morphett Vale property, including digging up large sections of the rear yard.

They found 616 grams of methamphetamine hidden in a pipe along with more than $50,000 in cash.

A 38-year-old man and his parents, a 62-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man were arrested and charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, possessing prescription drugs and money laundering.

They were refused police bail and will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
