Three arrested in connection with murder bid on man in Scots park

Three men have been arrested in connection with a murder bid on a young man in a Fife park.

The trio, aged 52, 22, and 20, were arrested after the 21-year-old was allegedly attacked in the park on Links Place in Burnisland at around 5.30pm on Saturday January 30.

An ambulance took the man to Ninewells hospital in Dundee for treatment after he was traced in Scott Street in Perth.

A picture on the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook page last night showed the park taped off with a police car and an ambulance visible.

Officers are now probing the incident.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Three men aged 52, 22, and 20 have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a 21-year-old man at Links Place in Burntisland at 5.30pm on Saturday, 30 January.

"The man was later traced in Scott Street in Perth at around 7.30pm and taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
